In the heart of the seventeenth century, this estate belonged to a Sicilian baron. Legend has it he built it as a gesture of love for his young mistress, with whom he was hopelessly enamored. He had two residences constructed: the grand and elegant main villa, and a secondary house for the servants—together forming a private, hidden world of their own.
But fate was cruel. The young woman fell ill with a mysterious disease, and the villa, wrapped in a purifying aura and surrounded by lush greenery, was transformed into a place of care and hope. Not long after, when an epidemic struck the region, its rooms became a refuge—a gathering place for those seeking safety.
With the death of the baron and his beloved, silence fell over the villa. It was sold at auction in the village hall, like a forgotten treasure, and from there a new chapter began. Our great-great-grandfather purchased it and, with a gesture of love and foresight, entrusted it to his only son.
Since then, this residence has lived on in our family’s hands. Each summer its walls have welcomed generations, safeguarding memories and traditions. Today, we open its doors to travelers from around the world: here you can breathe the magic of a bygone era, embrace the slower rhythm of life that so many long for, and be captivated by the timeless charm of a story that still whispers through these rooms
